Music Minister

Beth C. Parker serves as First Baptist  Minister of Music. Beth has been active in First Baptist’s music ministries since she and her husband, John, came to Middlesboro in 2004.   She has lead Young Musician  Choir, Handbell Choir, Youth Ensembles and Sanctuary Choir as well as directing summer MusiCamp for children.

A native of Athens, Tennessee, Beth received her Bachelor of Music Education from Carson Newman College in voice. As she was growing up, her parents served in music ministry for over 40 years until their retirement. A music educator for 18 years, Beth taught music to students from early childhood age students through high school in Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee.   She has also led childrens choir, ensembles and handbell choirs in several churches.

Beth and John are the parents of three children:  Stephen, Sarah and Joel. They enjoy spending time around the dinner table, family trips to the mountains and the beach, and being involved in numerous school activities.

God is the focus and priority of our worship.  He is THE AUDIENCE and we worship Him in Spirit and in Truth (John 4:24).
